Krulder’s Camp Fire Experiences

At some point, I will have students work on developing timelines as part of their public history contributions. Below is my timeline of the Krulder family’s experience of the November 8, 2018 Camp Fire that devastated Paradise, California and the surrounding communities, including our home. This timeline uses a free palette of sorts from KnightLab and can be embedded in the Canvas Learning Module as well as a myriad of website hosting platforms.

The Camp Fire descended upon Butte County, California, November 8, 2018. On that day, the Krulder family became climate change refugees. This timeline serves no other purpose than committing to memory what it is our family went through, not on the day of the fire, but post-fire until, once again, our family has a home.
