Podcasts and the classroom

I am continually amazed at the creativity of students that enter my classroom. Many possess an eagerness not just to learn but to do. And since my syllabi challenge students to do History, this is a match made for the cosmos.

I have developed two podcast series

“I Am America” are podcasts created by students enrolled in my United States Multicultural History Course. “Society and the Civil War” are podcasts created by students enrolled in my survey course History of the United States, 1607 to 1877. The latter podcasts utilizes the primary materials found on the Valley of the Shadow website hosted by the University of Virginia.
