History courses at the community college level should introduce what it is historians do. Since 2011, I have been blessed to demonstrate how historians analyze, think, and synthesize truckloads of data and stay sane. The syllabi referenced here, however, are in constant flux, forever changing, that’s because our students are.  

My Mission

History is hereby defined as “questions well-posed, sources well-scrutinized, and interpretations well-constructed.” Students will sing the praises of historical inquiry and put them into practice.
